Dental Emergencies

Dental injuries or Accidents can happen and most often are unavoidable. The first thing that you would do is call your dentist or anyone for a quick emergency dental care.

Instead of panicking, here are a few tips that you can do when there’s no immediate dentist available.

Toothache: Pain killers can be taken immediately. However, pain killers can only mask dental pains for a short while. This does not provide a cure. A temporary pain relief does not mean you don’t have to consult the doctor anymore.

Note: Careful drinking aspirins. These can increase chances of bleeding.

A good way to decrease dental pain is also by drinking warm water.

Fractured Tooth/Teeth: Rinse mouth with warm water and apply cold compress to decrease the swelling and reduce pain.

Lodged dirt or food particles: This can also give you dental pain, the first that you need to do is as careful as you can, insert a dental floss to get rid of the food particles. Be very cautious not to injure the gums. Some food particles or any foreign bodies can be lodged firmly to your teeth or gums.

It is important to have regular dental checkups so you can attain optimum dental health.
