Digital Dental Implant
A digital dental implant gives you all the benefits of a regular dental implant but the digital dental implant uses modern technology to achieve the most accurate placement of your dental implant.
Through X-Rays and CBCT scans, a team of dentists creates a treatment plan, complete with a guide to guarantee the proper placement of your implant fixture. This guided installation allows implant fixture placement in smaller areas of bone. All patients can benefit from the increased accuracy, but some patients who would otherwise have been unfit candidates for regular dental implants can now benefit from digital dental implants.
Digital dental implants also offer flapless fixture placement. Regular implant fixture placement requires a flap to be opened in the patient’s gums through which the implant will be installed. In digital dental implant placement, an opening is punched into the gums to perfectly fit the fixture and abutment. The space to be closed is much smaller and thus heals much faster.
In some cases, an abutment and temporary crown may be installed immediately following fixture placement, allowing a patient to come into the clinic with missing teeth and leave with a complete smile.
