Philippine Dental Health Month is observed in February. This observance started since 2004. This is the best time to reinforce proper oral health care to avoid oral health problems. Although it is not only in February to be reminded of proper oral health care, but this observance is important to instill proper oral health education. And Dente’ Care Center takes part to this tradition by providing the right oral health education.
It is our clinics’ core value not only to provide the best dental treatment/services but also to provide proper oral education. This isn’t just about checking and cleaning teeth or fixing broken tooth.
Oral Health Problems or dental disease can be prevented if you observe proper oral practices:
- Brushing teeth everyday (at least twice a day)
- Use fluoride toothpaste
- Flossing of Teeth
Both children and adults must floss teeth at least once a day. Parents should help children with flossing – it is best to build the habit while young. - Limit sugar intakes
Sugar is the number one factor of tooth decay.
- Eat Health Food
- Visit dentist regularly for check ups and preventive care
Better to visit your dentist every 6 months to ensure you don’t have any tooth decay. This is also to prevent severe tooth infection, gum disease or oral cancer.
According to research, oral health can be reflective of your overall health. If you have poor oral health, it can also tell that you have health problems or weak immune system.
